Nicholas A. Christakis

Sterling Professor of Social and Natural Science at Yale Universtiy

Nicholas A. Christakis, MD, PhD, MPH, is the "Sterling Professor" of Social and Natural Science at Yale University. His work focuses on the fields of network science, bio-social science, and behavioral genetics. He is Director of the Human Nature Lab and Co-Director of the Yale Institute for Network Science. He was elected as a member of the National Academy of Medicine in 2006, the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2010, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.

We are unlikely to have another serious respiratory pandemic in the next few decades, but it could happen. And I suspect, we will forget all the lessons of the current one when the next one happens, just like this one we forgot all the lessons of the past ones.
