President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels

Alexandros Vassilikos was born in Athens in 1976 to a Greek father and a French mother. He attended a Franco-Greek school and holds a Master's Degree in Economics and Finance, with studies in Nantes and London.

He entered the hospitality industry, as a second-generation hotel owner, in 1998. In 2000 he took over as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and a year after the sudden loss of his father, he took over as CEO of the AIROTEL Group.

In 2004, he modernized and expanded the Group, thus upgrading his assets in Athens, doubling his assets in Patras, and adding a long-term hotel lease in Kavala. The Group now comprises 6 hotels with more than 500 rooms.

In 2012 he was elected President of the Athens-Attica-Argosaronic Hotel Association. He was Vice President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels (HCH), Head of Public Relations of the Hellenic Hoteliers Federation and member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Tourism Confederation from 2011 until May 2017.

In 2018, he was elected President of the HCH and member of the HOTREC Executive Committee. Given his French citizenship, he has been a Financial Counselor at the French Embassy in Athens since 2008 until today.
