The 28th meeting of the SNF DIALOGUES found us all in a different spot than the last one, but it found us here. On Wednesday, April 15, at 18:30, the SNF DIALOGUES discussed our new socially distant reality. This conversation took place online, but the DIALOGUES’ focus on open participation and genuine give and take remained. The first live webcast event, “Waiting to Connect,” took place on the new DIALOGUES website (snfdialogues.org) and featured Nicholas A. Christakis, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., Sterling Professor of Social and Natural Science at Yale University, and film director Vasilis Kekatos. In the discussion, the speakers shared concerns about the situation we are all experiencing and answered questions from the audience in real time. This first live webcast touched on the role of technology in staying connected, the human need for strong social ties, and the unexpected upsides of life under lockdown.
The DIALOGUES are curated and moderated by Anna-Kynthia Bousdoukou.
