SNF Dialogues: Is Ethos still part of our human identity?
Anna Kynthia Bousdoukou
On Friday, 26 June SNF Dialogues opens a timely conversation: Is ethos something still relevant today?
From education to media, and from science to how we engage with emerging technologies, we will try to explore whether ethos is a significant parameter today on the way we build our societies and engage ourselves within them, if it is still central to how we understand ourselves as human beings and citizens. Finally, the conversation will touch upon what does ethos asks of us now, individually and collectively, across generations and geographies.
SNF Dialogues Initiative invited the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue (Simon Fraser University, Canada) to design and facilitate this interactive session of dialogue, featuring among others the voices of the Nostos Youth Advisory Committee* of Nostos 2026, using specific dialogue technics that facilitate the participation of both speakers and audience. Together, we’ll explore the values, capacities, and choices that can help shape cultures of mutual responsibility, care, and democratic resilience - drawing from the lived experiences of both younger and older generations.
