Brady Kiesling

Author and Former US Diplomat

John Brady Kiesling was a US diplomat for twenty years, with service in Israel, Morocco, Greece, and Armenia. He resigned as chief of the political section of the US Embassy in Athens just before the 2003 Iraq War. Kiesling lives in Athens and is the author of "Greek Urban Warriors: Resistance and Terrorism 1967-2014", and "Diplomacy Lessons: Realism for an Unloved Superpower". His current focus is on Greek history, literature, and topography, via the "ToposText" website and free app that he created with support from the Laskaridis Foundation. He is Vice Chair of the "Democrats Abroad Greece" initiative.
